Privacy policy

How we use the details you give us. Last updated 30 October 2026.

Who we are

Brian Barrett, trading as Loadspace NI, of 10C Hydepark Rd, Mallusk, Newtownabbey, BT36 4PY, is responsible for your personal data. You can contact us at [email protected].

What we collect

The estimate builder asks for your van details, the services you choose, any notes, your name, phone number, email address, BT postcode and a preferred week. The message form asks for your name, a phone number or email address, an optional van description and your message.

Photographs you add in the estimate builder stay in your browser for preview. They are not uploaded and are not sent with your request.

How we use it, and why

We use your details to reply to your request, to prepare and send a quote, and, if you go ahead, to arrange and carry out the work. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business, and taking steps at your request before a contract is made. We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not ask you to tick a consent box to send a request.

When quote delivery is enabled, we email you a quote and up to two follow-ups. After a completed job, we may email a review request and a service check-in a year later. You can stop all follow-ups with the stop link in any quote, follow-up or aftercare email.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your details. We use a small number of providers to run the site and handle your request: a hosting provider, a database provider and an email delivery provider (Resend). They process your details on our behalf and only for those purposes. Some of them may process data outside the UK, and where they do we rely on appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

After 36 months we remove names and contact details from enquiries and quotes that did not go ahead, once pending emails are resolved. We keep anonymous van, service, price and date details. Customer records are kept for as long as accounts, warranty and legal claims need them, usually about 6 years, then reviewed manually.

Opt-outs are kept as a protected hash of your email address so we can honour them without keeping the plain address.

Cookies, maps and server logs

This site does not use analytics or advertising cookies. The contact page and footer show an interactive map. The map tiles load from OpenStreetMap, which receives your connection information, such as your IP address, when the map loads. When enabled, our security check uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help prevent spam. Cloudflare receives connection information, including your IP address, to verify the check. Our hosting provider may keep operational access logs.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact us using the details above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab).

Changes

If we change how we use your details we update this page and its date.
